I love poached eggs and they make up my main source of protein for most of my breakfasts. They are super easy to make and perfect if you fancy a grease-free breakfast. Try popping one on top of my Mushroom ‘Risotto’ Porridge or The Best Avo Toast. All you need is an egg, and a pan of boiling water.
1.) Fill the kettle 3/4 full and boil. If you’re starting with cold water instead, you’ll need longer, as you have to bring it to the boil.
2.) Once the kettle is ready, pour the hot water into a pan and bring to the boil.
3.) Reduce the heat slightly and using a spoon to stir the water to create a whirlpool effect, crack the egg into the pan. (I find it easier to crack the egg into a small glass first and then pour it into the pan).
4.) Cook for approximately 3 minutes.
5.) Finally, remove the egg with a slotted spoon and serve.
