This is not a new recipe, as I used it in the recipe for my Protein-packed zoats, but I’ve added it to the blog separately as its something I use a lot- for topping most of my zoatbowls and natural/coconut yoghurt too. I can’t really call it a recipe, as it only requires two ingredients, but I find that it’s just useful to know.
Serves 1, as a topping
2 handfuls berries of your choice (I’ve used blueberries and raspberries, and sometimes redcurrants and blackcurrants)
Add the berries to a separate saucepan with 3tbsp water and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer gently for a few minutes until the berries start to release their juices and soften. Pour over whatever it is you’re having!
